everyone seems scared silly.
its either adulthood or peter pan.
both seem awkward.
endurance and forgiveness
and sleep
seem like the only talents worth pursuing.

i miss spin the bottle.
it seems so senseless
that it is not played
as frequently as scrabble,
that we decided it was an
immature form of courting.
i don’t think it is juvenile at all.

i am in such a serious relationship right now.
i’m even monogamous in my dreams.
i could be dreaming I was on a space ship
with a thousands
of sexy aliens
who need me to help them
repopulate their planet
and i would have to turn them down
